"
The metropolis as a work of modern art... A mechanical painting completely detached from the concepts of nature, humans and mimesis constructed of compositions of glass, steel, granite and bricks that have been intertwined, overlapped and heaped upon each other. The tectonic variations, reflections, optical illusions, colour and material variations of these facades that create totally new and industrious modern aesthetics from the rationality of the structural grid. And just like philosopher of modernity Georg Simmel stated – exposes the urban dweller to a complete sensory over stimuli and then as a strategy of existence causes the suppression attitudes (blasé attitude), instead causing the development of individuality and inner world."
